We are pioneering the use of metabolomics and volatile organic compound (VOC) analysis to predict disease initiation and outcomes, by utilizing advanced technologies to study metabolites in various matrices. We focus on analysis of VOCs in exhaled breath and fecal samples as non-invasive biomarkers for various diseases, including inflammatory bowel disease. These studies employ sophisticated machine learning approaches to identify disease-specific VOC profiles. The research extends to metabolomic profiling in plasma and urine samples to assess disease initiation, progression and severity. This innovative approach holds promise for early disease detection and personalized treatment strategies.
